Golf is known to be a pastime that’s good for relieving stress. And with 90 golf courses, Myrtle Beach offers plenty of opportunities to spend the day playing a relaxing round or two. We love any chance to tee up at any of these spectacular courses, especially when it’s for a good cause.
On March 2nd, 2021, Brittain Resorts and Hotels had the opportunity to do just that as we hosted our charity golf tournament, the BRH Partner Cup. Held at the Pine Lakes Country Club, the event helped raise money for the 10th Anniversary of the David L. Brittain Memorial Scholarship. Pine Lakes Country Club, also known as “The Grandaddy”, is Myrtle Beach’s first golf course and one of the most prestigious courses along the Grand Strand.
We started the morning with a Starbucks station at check-in and for lunch, offered a delicious spread provided by Sea Captain’s House. We had DJ Nigel (our resident DJ who entertains at almost all the Brittain Resorts and Hotels oceanfront properties) at the event playing music, keeping the energy up, and creating a fun environment for everyone.
This wasn’t your typical 18-holes of golf. We made sure to add in some friendly competition and mixed it up by featuring the following games throughout:
We also raffled off a brand new 2021 golf cart and held a 50/50 raffle which totaled up to around $1,200 for the winner.
The whole golf tournament was a great success, and we would like to personally thank all of our sponsors and partners who helped make the event possible!
