The “Trends and Forecast” session highlighted the disconnect between booming air travel and stagnant hotel occupancy rates. While people are flying again, traditional hotel stays aren’t keeping pace. The rise of alternative accommodations, such as short-term rentals (STRs) and vacation homes, continues to disrupt the market.
