What will you be doing?

As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading the culinary operations of our establishment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency in the kitchen. Your leadership will play a key role in fostering a cohesive back-of-house team, delivering outstanding dining experiences, and maintaining operational excellence.

Executive Chef responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting, leading, training, coaching back-of-house team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Overseeing the upkeep of all kitchen equipment in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Developing creative menus that align with our dining standards and reflect culinary innovation.
  • Managing inventory, supplier relations, and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and product quality.
  • Monitoring labor and food costs, striving to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Controlling expenditures and managing department finances, including budget, inventory controls, and labor in line with financial forecasts.
  • Coordinating activities with other hotel departments to ensure effective communication and elevated guest satisfaction.
  • Resolving guest complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Leading special projects to improve kitchen efficiency and team performance.
  • Conducting regular team meetings to ensure clear communication within the department.
  • Collaborating with management and upcoming groups to organize and execute on-site functions and events.
  • Other job duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in innovative menu development, showcasing creativity in dish design and ingredient selection.
  • Expertise in managing restaurant operations, including special events.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Financial proficiency in managing budgets, inventory, and cost controls, along with proficiency in office PC applications (e.g., spreadsheets, databases).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving guest issues and anticipating customer needs.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, innovative dishes and an outstanding guest experience.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and attention to detail.
