Our Hospitality Industry Predictions for 2025

As 2025 kicks off, we at Brittain Resorts & Hotels (BRH) are looking ahead with excitement and determination. The hospitality industry continues to evolve, and we’re embracing new challenges and opportunities with open arms. Here’s how we see the year shaping up:

Finding the Sweet Spot Between Growth and Affordability

Christopher Ellison, our Vice President of Revenue, shares his insights on balancing revenue growth with affordability.

We understand how price-sensitive travelers have become and are committed to offering value that our guests can feel good about. Here’s how we’re doing it:

  1. Keeping Pricing Clear: We’ve eliminated hidden fees because we know transparency builds trust.
  2. Elevating Guest Experiences: By investing in our properties, we’re creating places where people love to stay.
  3. Offering Great Deals: Dynamic pricing and frequent promotions make vacations more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Attracting, Retaining, and Growing Our Team

Melissa Bilka, our Vice President of Team Member Services, highlights how we’re addressing labor challenges to create a supportive, rewarding environment for our team members.

Here’s what we’re focused on:

  1. Attracting Talent:
    • We’ve revamped our recruiting process to make it smoother and more candidate-friendly. This includes upgrading our talent acquisition software tools to include iCIMS and Revinate and contacting candidates within one hour.
    • Our partnerships with local schools, community groups, and organizations like SOS Care and Lutheran Services help us connect with a diverse talent pool.
  2. Retaining Team Members:
    • We’re enhancing the onboarding experience with regular check-ins at seven and 30 days to ensure new hires feel supported. This allows us to gather valuable feedback from our new team members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
    • Property-based engagement plans now include retention goals tied to managers’ bonuses to keep everyone focused on team satisfaction.
  3. Developing Future Leaders:
    • We are offering additional educational and development opportunities, including financial acumen and personal accountability classes.
    • We’re creating clear career pathways that show team members how they can grow with us.

Leveraging Technology and AI

Patrick Norton, our Chief Marketing Officer, is enthusiastic about how technology and AI will shape 2025.

Here’s what he sees ahead:

  • Guest Experiences: AI tools like predictive analytics and automated communications are helping us tailor every stay to each guest.
  • Revenue Optimization: With the rise of voice search and conversational AI, we’re staying ahead by ensuring our online presence matches how travelers search.
  • SEO Evolution: Google’s focus on genuine guest reviews means that delivering top-notch service has never been more important. We’re thrilled about this shift because it rewards what we do best.

Focusing on the Right Markets and Partners

Brittney Jones, our Chief Development Officer, explains how we’re growing thoughtfully by focusing on the right markets and partnerships:

  • Targeting Key Markets: Coastal leisure destinations in the Southeast with strong year-round demand are at the top of our list.
  • Building Strong Partnerships: We focus on identifying partners we can grow alongside for many years, building a foundation of exceptional results. To date, we’ve achieved significant success working with owners and operators ready to transition away from the day-to-day demands of property management. We continue to seek out partners who align with our vision and values.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding these partnerships while actively cultivating and strengthening relationships with asset management groups and private equity firms. By bringing our expertise in hospitality management and tailored solutions to these partnerships, we create long-term value for every property we manage.

Navigating Market Shifts

Brittney Jones also highlights the challenges and opportunities the current economic environment presents. The high construction costs and rising interest rates haven’t made growth easy, but we see opportunities to stand out. By driving high direct booking rates and focusing on independent operations, we’re helping our partners maximize profitability even in tough conditions.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited about what’s to come in 2025. From improving how we connect with our guests to investing in our incredible team, we’re committed to making this a fantastic year for everyone we serve. Here’s to a year of growth, innovation, and hospitality done right.
